Hatha Yoga Explorations with Effie Psiahoulia
One Saturday per month, at 17:30, we will be happy to welcome you to the seminar series “Hatha Yoga Explorations”, led by Effie Psiahoulia!
Effie has been influenced by different interesting instructors, and her personal teaching style is characterized by a very special approach to the body and to yoga practice in general, which can inspire both beginners and achieved teachers.
A few words by Effie about the seminar
What are we looking for in our practice?
Through raising questions that we will need to answer in order to explore the optimal practice for ourselves, we will be able to observe the usual choices we make regarding our posture and movement, as well as how much we intervene to the general coordination of our body.
The yoga poses, called asanas, present an opportunity to detect the limiting predispositions and patterns, to coordinate our body, but also, to move appropriately while transitioning into each pose. In that way, we are able to sharpen our self-awareness, and use our body in a correct and mindful way, regardless of how flexible we are.
We can explore how it is possible, while we move, to totally preserve and not undermine the overall coordination of the head, the back of the neck and the torso, thus keeping the limbs free and expressive.
The detection of possible restrictions can become the beginning for more unrestricted movement, and we can use this whole process of exploring to approach a more sincere, more lighthearted and more fun way to practice yoga.
We can discover tools that will help us foster a deeper connection to our body and mind.
But, the most important thing is that we will be able to implement this knowledge to our everyday activities and to our life.
