Kirtan concert for charity with Adi Shakti & Bhakti Age

A Sunday full of heart, sound and offer!

We are gathered.
We sang.
We embraced with looks and songs.

On Sunday 4/13, we witnessed a magical gathering. Two beloved kirtan bands joined forces for a common purpose: to support the charitable action of SATYANANTA MATH - AMBA​.

SATYANANANTA MATH - AMBA was founded by Swami Sivamurti in 1991 as the charitable arm of Satyanandashram Greece, in honour of our guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati whose sankalpa was, "Serve, Love, Give" and has been the foundation stone for all his activities in Rikhiapeeth, India.

Together we raised the necessary funds for some travel expenses (fuel & tolls) for the yoga instructors of the Satyananda system who offer voluntary yoga classes to the inmates of the Grevena Correctional Institution every Saturday.

We also collected clothes and useful items for our fellow human beings in need to support Satyananda's Homeless Care MATH - AMBA (100 full meals, clothing and necessities every Monday to the homeless in the port of Piraeus) - and already the next day, 42 pairs of shoes found new footsteps on the streets of Piraeus.

We thank from the bottom of our hearts the two musical groups Adi Shakti and Bhakti Age for their selfless offer and love, as well as all of you who came with a smile, good mood and... Lunch boxes full of homemade food! It was a real feast for the soul!

When we join forces, great things become easy. How wonderful it is to gather on Sundays, to sing, to connect with ourselves and those around us, and to remember how much we can achieve by being together. There is something almost sacred about the energy created when people gather around a common purpose. It unites hearts, opens paths and gives birth to things that no one alone can achieve.

Take care of the needs of others, and your needs will be taken care of, take care of the prosperity of others and your prosperity will be taken care of, take care of the liberation of others and your liberation will be taken care of. Serve the poor, give food to the hungry ones, care for the sick ones, go from door to door and see what their problems are, this is the only way to reach peace… One doesn’t need to know anything else.
