SLOW YOGA FLOW

In this class our intention is to cultivate a calm and gentle flow
- not only as an uninterrupted sequence of postures and movement in conjunction with breathing, but also as a fundamental state of being in which we learn to meet each moment, and whatever it brings, with presence and constant awareness.
In this practice, positions and pauses succeed each other fluidly, almost ritualistically and in connection with the breath. We approach the body with gentleness and a mood of self-observation, without judgment, with presence. Through slow, conscious movement and often the vibration of sound, we help the nervous system to detoxify and gently guide it out of the survival state (fight or flight), returning it to calm and balance.
With the variety of movements we create new neuropaths, which make up the new way of caring for and understanding the self, freeing the body from harmful, entrenched patterns. The tools that we use are: creative visualization, exercise (asana), breathing techniques, sound vibration and somatics techniques.
The evening Slow Yoga Flow classes accompany the final deep relaxation with Gong, crystal bowls, drum and other instruments. The sound invites us to consciously surrender the perpetual effort and control. For a few minutes we let go into the flow of existence, allowing the sound to flow through us to cleanse and tune us into higher frequencies.
