Meditation Training-Module 2 with Swami Savikalpa

First, look Within

There are many reasons one would want to start learning how to meditate, but one of the main ones is the ability to get to know our inner world, our mind, and what makes us tick.

The second module of the meditation course is about learning meditation techniques called Kaya sthairyam and Ajapa Japa.

– Kaya sthairyam is a very important technique as it is the basis of all the other meditation techniques although it can also be practiced as a separate technique too. It trains the body and the mind to become comfortable and still, which is a prerequisite for any meditation practice.

– The second technique, Ajapa Japa is an essential meditation technique derived from ancient yogic texts. Also known as ‘spontaneous awareness’, its translation is ‘to see, to look within, to watch, to observe’. The main focus of this practice is to achieve a mindful concentration of breath, which is used to harmonise the body and mind. The repetition of the mantra of the breath is another crucial aspect of this practice. It purifies the pranic flows and removes blockages in these flows, which are the primary sources of physical and mental disturbances. This practice helps to withdraw the senses and awaken self-awareness. It is a complete mental training that removes mental imbalances, quiets and refreshes the mind, and brings a sense of inner peace. This module will teach you the stages of this practice, which you can include in your daily sadhana (personal practice).

Who is it for:

This course has a specific sequence and structure. It is for people who are at the very beginning of their journey and have no previous experience, but who would like to learn meditation systematically so that they can practice it themselves. It is also for those who have previous experience but who would like to deepen their practice.
