Yin Yoga Teacher Training (200hrs)

The Comprehensive Training that will change your teaching!

The Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Maria Levantinou is open to anyone who already teaches yoga, practices yoga, or is interested in starting, and especially to anyone who wishes to encounter a different view of their reality, transforming their dualistic perspective into an experience of union.

We touch the world through our senses, translate it according to our perceptions, and shape our reality accordingly. Within it, we usually move like a pendulum between two states, that of attachment and aversion. On the one hand, we "like" something and want to acquire it, we need it close to us or we do not want to part with it at all. On the other hand, we "dislike" something and need to quickly get rid of it from within us or from above us, we will do anything to prevent it from crossing our path again. Of course, there is also a third, undifferentiated state, in which we remain completely neutral in the face of something. In any case, we take a "position" within this reality, trying to reconcile our polarities, the yin and yang, these "two" that have been fighting within us since the beginning of the world.

And what exactly are we looking for? Happiness! Every blink of our eyes searches for happiness, every movement we make, every wish, prayer, and quest we have together. Like me, like you, like all sentient beings, we are searching for happiness.

This training was born out of a personal journey of at least 15 years in different spiritual traditions. My encounter with the practice of Yin Yoga, the wisdom of Dharma, and my professional work as a Gestalt therapist completed this journey. Three paths that find common ground in "position," in this personal process of discovering one's "position" in relation to the world around them.

In Yin Yoga, we learn to approach the body with gentleness, curiosity, and respect. We do not seek the perfect posture. Instead, we are trained in the basic principles of Yin practice in order to cultivate body awareness in a way that is different from what we have known until now.

At the same time, using the Gestalt therapeutic approach as a tool, we learn to maintain the space for our experience in order to create a safe environment first for ourselves and then for the people around us.

Spirituality, which may have seemed demanding until now, is now approached in a simple, accessible, and achievable way for everyone. The "position" in Dharma emerges as a conscious choice: the preciousness of our human life, our intention and meaning, brings us closer to who we are and what we want to offer.

This training weaves these three paths into a unified, living space of learning. Each trainee, through the triptych of the coexistence of Yin practice with therapeutic work and the wisdom of Dharma, acquires all the necessary theoretical and practical tools in order to share, teach, and learn the uniqueness of the "position" of every sentient being.

Postures of Being: The Inner Journey that Touches the World

Postures of Being is incorporated into the comprehensive Yin Yoga Teacher Training (200hrs) with the aim of social contribution.

From the beginning of the Training, each person is invited to participate in a therapeutic and experiential process of self-awareness, study, practical exercise, and cultivation of their different aspects and skills. This personal journey is gradually shaped until it transforms into a meaningful gift to the community.

Our Vision

Our vision is based on the following three core values:

  • Expanding awareness. Every position opens the door to full awareness of existence in relation to oneself and the world around us.
  • Expressing our inherent nature, love, and compassion, creating a social fabric full of respect and care for every sentient being.
  • In cultivating wisdom, the deep understanding that posture is primarily a choice. Through the simplicity of "how I stand," I decide to act responsibly for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Our Mission & Commitment

At Postures of Being, each person participating in the Yin Yoga Teacher Training (200hrs) receives support in exploring, discovering, and experiencing their "position." Their uniqueness and skills are encouraged through careful guidance on a physical, psycho-emotional, and spiritual level. With each "position" we take, an inner space opens up, where we are given the opportunity to see ourselves, to recognize where we are, and from there... where it makes sense to go. It is the opportunity to see that every choice we make, every step we take, every silence, every breath, has brought us exactly here, to the point where we can cultivate the truth of our presence and offer that truth to the world as an act of connection, kindness, and meaningful purpose.

*Upon completion of Yin Yoga Teacher Training Foundations, you are invited to engage in a reflective process that will capture your journey throughout the Training Program. It is not a proposal or a final project plan, but a synthesis of your exploration thus far. A space to reflect on what you have discovered, what attracts you, and how your thinking is beginning to take shape in relation to your personal position, vision, and future action.
