Μantra Chanting and Havan for Navaratri

We invite you on Saturday 12 October at 19:00 to a beautiful fire ceremony (Havan) on the occasion of the Navaratri festival.

Havan is an ancient ceremony. It involves the use of fire, offering of healing herbs (samagri), Sanskrit mantras and the practitioner's intention. In a broader context, its purpose is purification, evolution and harmony on all levels.

Navaratri means nine nights. It is an important ancient festival in honour of Devi (cosmic mother) with her various forms representing her different qualities. The havan will be held on the tenth day of the festival (Vijayadashami), on which the victory of the goddess in the battle with the demons occurs. This day, called 'victorious', celebrates the power within us that defeats ignorance and limiting tendencies, armed with the knowledge of the true Self.

The practice will be led by Athanasios Baxevanos Ramdarshi and Anastasia Biliri Antaratma.

Entrance by donation. Suggested donation: 5-20€
