The Yoga of Sound (Nada Yoga) with Anastasia Biliri Antaratma

”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God….Through him all things were made…”

In Samkhya, Yoga and Tantra, this word/sound is called Om. Everything in nature, trees, animals, rivers, planets, us, other sounds, everything is an evolution of this primordial vibration. In the texts this is called Nada Brahman. We are literally made of sound and so, it is no coincidence that sound, our Source, is the only medium that can penetrate so deeply and have such a defining effect on us.

Everything around us and within us is moving. This movement creates vibration and the vibration in turn creates sound. Everything in the world has a frequency, whether we can hear it or not. With Nada Yoga, we practice our ability to actively listen without parallel internal dialogues and without interruptions. We initially use external sound vibrations to calm, center and clear the mind. This in turn internalizes and refines it so that it can gradually perceive more and more subtle external and especially internal sounds/vibrations. The ultimate goal of Nada Yoga, is the realization of the Anahata (the subtlest sound we all have within us), which emanates from Nada Brahman. Through this connection, Nada Yoga carves a beautiful path that leads us towards the Source.

Anastasia Biliri will lead this special and esoteric course on Yoga of Sound on Saturday 20 April  at 17:00-20:00 or Sunday 21 April  at 11:00-14:00.
